Chalet Chez Bugi occupies an exceptional position directly on the piste in St Martin de Belleville. Step out of the ski room, click into your skis and you can be at the main gondola in around 20 seconds, giving you immediate access to the Three Valleys. Despite being so close to the skiing and village, the chalet looks out across St Martin de Belleville and the surrounding mountains, with the views forming a large part of the experience inside.

The main living and dining floor makes the most of that position, with large windows opening the room towards the mountain scenery. The interior is contemporary Alpine in style, but richer and darker than many modern chalets, combining extensive wood cladding with charcoal tones, textured fabrics and bespoke furniture. The result has plenty of character, particularly in the evening when the softer lighting changes the feel of the room. A separate TV snug gives you another room to disappear to, particularly useful with twelve guests, while a lift between floors makes getting around the chalet easy.

Six ensuite bedrooms accommodate twelve guests without relying on bunk rooms or additional beds. Two master suites occupy the upper floor, both with super-king beds and private balconies. Four further bedrooms are on the ground floor, three of which can be arranged as either super king or twin rooms, giving plenty of flexibility for couples, friends and different group combinations.

Outside, the terrace has a hot tub overlooking the piste, village and mountains, so there is usually something to watch even when you are no longer skiing. There is also a sauna and a dedicated ski room with heated boot warmers, ready for the following morning. It is the combination of location and chalet that makes Chalet Chez Bugi particularly appealing. You have six ensuite bedrooms, plenty of space, a hot tub and sauna and full chalet service, but the real luxury each morning is being able to put your skis on at the door and go!
